About this Event
Join Newham Libraries and Rosetta Arts for a joyful, hands-on workshop that blends art and nature to celebrate freedom and growth. Children will explore colours, textures and symbols that express what makes them feel lighter, freer and happier. Through painting and drawing they will create postcards for freedom – small works of art to share with a friend, loved one or the wider world.
Each postcard becomes a message of hope and an intention for the future. Alongside the artmaking, children will receive a simple growing activity - seeds and a planting kit to take home – a living reminder that freedom, like nature, needs care and patience to thrive.
This uplifting session combines creativity, mindfulness and connection with the world around us, perfect for children who love making, imagining and growing.
This inclusive workshop is for children aged 7–12, and for SEND participants aged 7–14. Parents and carers are warmly welcome to join or support.
