Half-Day Course: Introduction to Tantra

In his Sutra teachings, Buddha provides a roadmap for attaining a joyful and meaningful life, leading us toward the ultimate goal of enlightenment. While training our mind using the methods of Sutra builds the essential foundation of a good heart and wisdom, it is the "inner science" of Tantra that acts as the high-speed vehicle able to deliver us to our final destination.

Often misunderstood, Tantra is a profound method of creative transformation. By learning to "bring the future result into the path," we can stop identifying with our present limitations and begin to relate to our pure, essential nature.

During this half-day course, Resident Teacher Gen Kelsang Rabka will provide an overview of the Buddhist path to enlightenment. We will explore what Tantra is, its various practices, and how, by combining the mental trainings of Sutra and Tantra, we are able to rapidly fulfill our deepest wishes.

Everyone is welcome to attend, regardless of experience.

* Note that there will also be an optional explanation of the commitments of Highest Yoga Tantra for those who intend to receive the blessing empowerments of Buddha Heruka and Vajrayogini for the first time at this year's NKT International Summer Festival between 2 – 3pm.
