Fancy a proper countryside day out near London?Join us for a Guildford Circular via Albury Park (Surrey Hills) on Sat 24 Jan 2026. It’s a varied loop from Guildford, climbing up onto the North Downs for big views, passing St Martha’s Church on the hilltop, then dropping into the Albury / Albury Park area before looping back through countryside paths.

- Distance: 14 km
- Walking time: around 6 hours
- Difficulty: 5/10 (there’s a steep climb early on)
- Terrain: woodland trails + a bit of pavement near Guildford; can get muddy after rain
Meet-up + train:
- Meet at London Waterloo Station at 8:30am (under the main clock in the main concourse)
- Train departs 8:45am
- Start/finish: Guildford Station (arriving about 9:30am)
Bring: comfy walking shoes/boots, waterproofs just in case, 1–2 litres of water, and a picnic for the halfway stop. Pub after is optional.
