Join us for dancing, drumming and socializing. Spend some time with your dance friends and perform in a relaxed setting. Bring a drum and join the jam.SOCIAL HAFLA
You do not need to be a Guild member to dance or attend.

ALL styles of belly dance are welcome (Orientale, folkloric, fusion, etc.) Musicians are also welcome! Groups are encouraged. This is an informal dance event. Makeup and costume are not required. Maximum length: 6 minutes. Family friendly is preferred. Bring your music downloaded to a device (must play in Airplane mode-no streaming). There’s a large bathroom to change into costumes, but you’ll want to arrive in makeup.
DRUM JAM
The drum jam will follow the dancing. Bring your tabla/dumbek, riq/tambourine, frame drum, darbuka, zills/finger cymbals, or other rhythm device to participate in a circle of drumming.

BELLYDANCE GARAGE SALE
Bring items to "Donate," recipients make a donation to the Guild. Bring items to sell ($15 vending fee). To vend or donate, come at 3 PM to set up.
There's no charge to attend, but we'll take donations.
LOCATION: Tapestry Folkdance Center, 3739 Minnehaha Ave, Minneapolis, MN.
There are two parking lots, one is on the south side of the building (pay attention to parking notices), and a second one is directly across Minnehaha Ave.
Approximate timeline:
3:00 PM arrive and set up – we’d love your help with this!
3:30 PM (or so) Dancing will begin as soon as we are ready. Drum Jam and open dancing will follow the hafla.
5:45 PM clean up – also love your help!
