A guided walking tour exploring Baggot Street and the Grand Canal as a living tapestry of history, architecture, literature and local charm.

Tracing Georgian elegance and the bohemian spirit that inspired the term Baggotonia.

Stories of writers, artists, and revolutionaries including Brendan Behan, Patrick Kavanagh, and other creative figures.

The walk will highlight how the area has shaped, and continues to shape, the arts.


About Your Guide

Joe Cooke is founder and owner of Dublin Through The Ages DTTA. A local and Dubliner, Joe is a registered tour guide, DTTA offers immersive walking tours, bespoke historical experiences, and event hosting that bring the city's rich past to life for visitors and locals alike.

Joe's journey began decades ago with a simple curiosity about the laneways, landmarks, and legends of his native city. His tours are not just engaging and informative; they are layered with wit, accuracy, and detail.

Finish : Leeson Street Bridge

Children are very welcome under supervision.

Mobility Requirement: Participants will be walking the full route of the tour
