Guided Nature Walk and Garden Stewardship

Join the Rexdale SNAP team for a guided nature walk through Rowntree Mills Park! Learn about local wildlife and explore the green space in your community!

After the walk, take part in hands-on stewardship activities at the COVID Memorial Garden. Help prepare the garden beds for the season and plant native, pollinator-friendly species that support bees, butterflies, and other wildlife.

This is a great opportunity to learn, connect, and get involved in your community.

Please dress for the weather and wear closed-toe shoes. Gloves and shovels will be provided. All are welcome!

We will meet in front of the Covid Memorial Garden which can be accessed from the park entrance off of Rowntree Mill Road (pictured in image below).

Cancellation Policy: The event will run rain or shine, but will be cancelled if there is a significant chance of thunderstorms or other hazardous weather. Registrants will be emailed by 8:00 AM on the day of the event if there is a cancellation.
