About this Event
Part of Theatreship's guest nights - where contemporary artists take over the ship to highlight the stories they want to tell.
There will be poetry performances from 6:30pm ahead of the main show at 7pm.
Here's some more info about the play from the creatives involved:
SYNOPSIS
Adam and Agnes are an artist couple in their early twenties discussing their recent break up. Meanwhile Jack and Joan— the characters in Agnes' play, set in the 1950s— are in the midst of a divorce. 'Swan Teeth' aims a magnifying glass at relationship archetypes and lackluster dating dynamics. What do they bring to the surface and how do they break us apart? Swans don't have teeth, but they can still bite hard enough to leave a mark.
SOFIA JM BITELLI is a poet and playwright from Brazil, based between Dublin and London. 'Swan Teeth' marks her directorial and playwrighting debut. Her poetry is featured in the accompanying zine publication, 'Teeth & Other Bones'.
JOSEPHINE MOORE is an Anglo-American actress who has performed in theatres across London and at the Edinburgh Fringe, and is currently writing her first short film. She has recently nurtured her creative skills as a Christmas elf, à la David Sedaris.
BENJAMIN FINCH is an actor and composer based between London and Leeds. His credits include appearances at Shakespeare’s Globe and the Young Vic. He made his debut as a composer in 2024 on the sell-out production of ‘Maar, Dora’.
Not recommended for children.
Adult Themes: sexual language, adult language, cigarettes and alcohol use, brief references to suicide.
Doors open at 4pm for drinks in the bar.
