Musician and broadcaster Nick Barraclough, born and brought up in Marshall Road and Blinco Grove, will talk about his childhood in our area and his subsequent career in music and radio (as well as the pivotal role played by Rock Road Library!).
He'll talk about his parents moving there after the war, raising a family, attending the Morley School, then the High School (now Hills Road), then going on to ten years as a musician, a few years at BBC Radio Cambs then Radio 2 and Radio 4 - and all without ever leaving Cambridge.
He'll probably end on a song...
Refreshments will be served (for which donations will be appreciated) but otherwise the event is free. Doors open at 7pm and we are unable to admit latecomers after 7.20 when the talk begins.
