Heart of Noise Cambridge is an event series dedicated to ambient, electronic and experimental music in a live setting. It aims to promote these and related genres across Cambridge by featuring local, national and international artists, both solo and in collaboration.
As part of Cambridge Jazz Festival, Heart of Noise Cambridge 7 brings you a combination of experimental jazz, electronics, and avant-garde drone. The exciting lineup opens with the successful American guitarist and improviser Ted Morcaldi, who will be joined by Cambridge-based improviser and prolific double bassist Dominic Lash. Then, avantgarde drone metal duo Diaries of Destruction (Elif Yalvaç + Jordan Muscatello) will celebrate their new album DoD II with a special performance. The final set will be delivered by the acclaimed American guitarist and composer Jon Durant, one of the world’s most distinguished proponents of creative, transcultural jazz. Prolific bassist Colin Edwin (O.R.k /Twinscapes/ex-Porcupine Tree) will join his Burnt Belief and Fractal Sextet partner Jon Durant on this very special night together with electronic music composer Elif Yalvaç.
