About this Event
The Paper Jam Comics Collective are launching their new comic anthology, Growing Up... and That! - a varied collection short comics on the theme of 'growing up'.
It's a free drop-in event (no need to book, turn up anytime) on Level 3 of City Library.
There will be drawing games suitable for all ages and the chance to chat to some of the Paper Jam artists. Zero artistic skill is required to join in - it's not about being "good" at drawing, it's about having fun expressing yourself! If you've ever thought about drawing your own comics but don't know where to start, come and find out how (and, possibly, how NOT) to do it from Newcastle's veterans of DIY comics.
The Paper Jam Comics Collective are a Newcastle-based group of creators who've been making comics for nearly two decades. Some of them make their own comics, and sometimes they work together to make themed anthologies together, mixing all kinds of different styles. Some of their comics are for adults but some are for all ages - there's no pressure to buy but they will have a range for sale (including, of course, the new anthology!)
