About this Event
How about growing your own fruit?
This month's Texas A&M Agrilife speaker Matt Orwat discusses how to select, plant, and maintain fruit trees for the DFW area. Proper techniques for planting and pruning new trees will be demonstrated with a hands on session as well as discussions about selecting fruits compatible for the soils and climate of the DFW area. Ongoing tree care and fertilization will also be discussed. This session is geared toward landowners who wish to produce fruit to increase their self sufficiency and potentially enter urban agriculture on a small scale, as well as home gardeners.
