About this Event
Wild, native, and commonly used landscaping plants are uniquely adapted to our region’s climate and soils, allowing them to thrive and return reliably year after year. In this workshop, you’ll build the skills and confidence to:
- Recognize and identify local herbs, vines, shrubs, and trees
- Explore their medicinal properties with an emphasis on safety, ethics, and reciprocity
- Invite and encourage these plants to grow in your own space, whether through cultivation or mindful stewardship
We’ll begin with a foundational overview, then we’ll head out for a guided walk, meeting commonly occurring medicinal plants in the environmental contexts they inhabit.
You’ll leave with practical knowledge, deeper awareness, and a renewed connection to the living landscape around you.
