About this Event
Are you new to vegetable gardening or have you ever said? "Anything I grow always dies or gets eaten by pests!' If YES! then this is the course for you.
This is the first of five monthly sessions that will give all the information you will need to start growing your own food whether you only have a sunny windowsill or balcony, or have just taken on an allotment.
You can attend all five sessions, or book them individually.
This February session we'll be covering what you will need to start growing, how to plan your space, where to get and how to look after your seeds. We'll also be discussing compost, microgreens and how to chit your potatoes amongst lots of other food growing tips and tricks.

Food gardening 4 all
FG4A is a fledgling community group based in East Sheen, London, UK, that hopes to encourage aspiring or beginner food gardeners to gain confidence and build their knowledge in growing their own produce.
Christine Chatfield who organises FG4A is a retired teacher who started growing vegetables in her teens and 20’s. After a break to have her children, she now grows her own fruit and veg on her allotment that she has had for over 15 years. Last year she grew nearly 300 kilos of fruit and veg on her 123 sq. metre plot all on organic and no-dig principles.
“Today, in a time of great uncertainty, I feel that learning how to grow our own food is a skill we should all try and achieve.”
