Funkyard is a cover band from Vancouver, BC that plays hits from across the genres and decades - but not in the way you expect. They take Top 40 hits, meme songs, and even metal headbangers and toss them into a Jazz-funk blender. What comes out is a fully funk-tastic tune, complete with infectious grooves, lush harmonies, and intricate arrangements.Consisting of Julia Skye on vocals, Colin Sankey on bass, Sebastian Chamney on guitar, Johneil Vinas on drums, and Nathan Browns on keys, Funkyard aims to tingle your ears with beautiful melodies, while keeping your feet on the dance floor. Each member of the band is a mainstay of Vancouver's music scene, with thousands of gigs collectively under their belts, and some of their members have hundreds of thousands of social media followers. Funkyard's MO is that they never play the songs like the record, but they keep them just as groovy and catchy!
All net proceeds from the door will be donated in support of Hogan’s Alley Society.
