About this Event
Grounded in Your Light is a curated documentary screening and filmmaker gathering centered around original storytelling, creative connection, and community.
This special screening event features short documentary films from invited filmmakers, including Timberhouse Films and Auston Robinson, culminating in the premiere of Grounded in Your Light, a documentary by Brandon Andersen in collaboration with artist Lacey Longino.
Grounded in Your Light follows the creation of a large scale public art installation by local artist Lacey Longino at The Upton in Atlanta, exploring how art, trust, and collaboration can transform a space into a place of belonging. The film offers an intimate look at creative process, community, and the human relationships behind the work.
Following the screenings, the afternoon continues with a live filmmaker Q and A moderated by Melania Armenta, bringing together the filmmakers and creatives behind the projects for a thoughtful conversation on storytelling, collaboration, and the role of art in shaping the spaces where we live.

One hundred percent of ticket proceeds go directly toward renting the theatre and supporting the live event experience.
