2 day horsemanship clinic (optional 3rd day) with Christine Corbidge from Wongaburra Horsemanship Centre Victoria. Ground and ridden focus, 'connecting the dots' between communication and 'pre-ride' checks on the ground and ridden pursuits. Chris offers a program for building confidence and competency through a series of exercises that test readiness for human and horse to progress to 'next steps'. Students are encouraged to proceed at every session at their own pace and readiness and either stay grounded, or step aboard and ride when during 'ridden sessions'. (sessions can be mixed - ground & ridden participants) Not riding is always an option for anyone who feels they need to stay grounded.
Chris has over 30 years of teaching experience, including 22 years as a licensed Parelli professional (1996-2018) now freelance, teaching interstate as well as at her family's dedicated horsemanship centre in the southwestern part of the Grampians in Victoria. She is featured on 'The Horsemen Collective' online learning platform as one of their invited Australian clinicians, with her series on 'Trail Riding Preparation'. She also enjoys writing horsemanship content for Substack under her own name. She has a herd of 10 horses, shared with husband Justin.
Cost for 2 day clinic = $440 pp incl. gst + venue fee (split between attending - contact Chris Bates for details ) Camping facilities available, plenty of safe horse yarding.
