Understanding cashflow and financial position for active financial management. The low rainfall over the last few years, paired with the unprecedented rise in the cost of doing business and lower commodity prices have seen farming businesses face the ‘perfect storm’ and the risk associated with managing a farming business is higher now than even 10 years ago. This workshop will move beyond basic accounting to focus on active financial management to help you take control of your numbers. Participants will:
- Take a deep dive into cash flow forecasting
- Do a break-even analysis for a mixed farming enterprise
- Understand how lenders assess serviceability and risk
- Have an opportunity to discuss common challenges
- Connect with other likeminded farmers.
This workshop is open to all members of the farm business team and more than one member of the business is encouraged to attend.
The day includes morning tea and lunch.
WoTL does not wish finances to be a barrier to participation. Please contact [email protected] [[email protected]] to discuss scholarship options.
The full cost of this workshop is $375 which has been heavily reduced thanks to the support of event sponsors.
This program is delivered by Livestock SA, through funding from the Australian Government’s Future Drought Fund and the Government of South Australia.
