A nationally touring exhibit is making a stop right here in Springfield! The American Revolution Experience is coming to the County's Historic Courthouse, kicking off Greene County's America 250 celebration. Through illustrated panels and interactive touchscreen kiosks, the exhibit brings to life the stories of ordinary people who lived through the dawn of a new nation and tells the history of the American Revolutionary War. Volunteers will be available every day to guide visitors and help anyone curious about whether they might have a Revolutionary War ancestor.
Come and join us in the Greene County Historic Courthouse Rotunda, Sunday March 8 at 2 p.m. for the opening ceremony. It will feature a Revolutionary War Color Guard in full period uniforms, a traditional Native American Grass Dance in full regalia, patriotic music from a brass ensemble and choir, and remarks from state and national leaders. It's free and open to the public.
The exhibit will be on display, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., March 9 through 17. Please come and relive American history!
