Introduction Green Skills Academy:

Ready to dive into the world of sustainability and explore exciting green career paths?

We are delighted to offer our Introduction to Green Skills Course and Sustainability as a gateway to a fulfilling and sustainable career that aligns with your values!

Start Date: Monday, 16th March 2026
Duration: 6 weeks (one day a week)
Location: Capital City College – Tottenham Centre

Course Overview:
We are delighted to invite you to our 6-week introductory course designed to explore the world of green skills, sustainability, and careers. This programme is perfect for anyone curious about renewable energy, sustainability, or environmental careers, and no prior experience is required. The course will give you the knowledge you require to develop your understanding of ‘Green’ Skills and how it relates to industry.

The course consists of 21 hours part time attendance at college over a 6 week period and you will be awarded a college certificate on completion. Once completed you will be able to work towards a career in green construction.

In today’s world, environmental challenges are more pressing than ever, and industries are rapidly shifting toward sustainable practices. The demand for professionals with expertise in renewable energy, circular economy, eco-friendly technologies, and conservation is growing fast.

What You Will Learn:
  • Gain an accessible introduction to the green sector, including renewable energy, domestic retrofit, and sustainable practices.
  • Discover career pathways and the Mayor of London’s Green Skills agenda.
  • Participate in interactive workshops, site visits, and guest speaker sessions.
  • Receive personalised career guidance in the final week to plan your next steps into employment or further training.

This course is ideal for those considering roles such as Customer Service Advisor, Resident Liaison Officer, and other opportunities in the green economy.


Eligibility & Funding:

The course may be fully government-funded if you meet the following criteria:

  • UK/British resident, aged 19+
  • Unemployed, claiming benefits, or employed earning under £27,000/year
  • Pre-settled, settled, or indefinite leave to remain with 3+ years UK residency

Course fees apply if eligibility criteria are not met.
