A key voice in the citys modern jazz scene, he blends jazz, funk, rock, and experimental influences with a deep groove and adventurous spirit. Brockamp has performed and collaborated with a wide range of artists across the New Orleans scene and beyond, bringing a fresh perspective and creative energy to every project he joins.Kyle Roussel, a Boutte, Louisiana native, is a dynamic pianist, composer, and producer channeling the spirit of New Orleans into every note. Rooted in classical, gospel, and jazz traditions and mentored by legends like Alvin Batiste and Ellis Marsalis Jr., his sound fuses the influences of James Booker, Dr. John, Stevie Wonder, and Jon Batiste into a vibrant, genre-blending style. Roussel has shared the stage and studio with major artists including Jon Batiste, Dave Grohl, Paul McCartney, Chance the Rapper, Irma Thomas, Ivan Neville, and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band.Doors: 4:00 pmShow: 4:30 - 6 pmSnug Harbor Jazz Bistro presents live weekly concerts. This event is 13 and over. There is NO SMOKING allowed anywhere inside the building, and there are NO PETS ALLOWED at anytime. *Legitimate Service Dogs must be wearing full credentials at all times upon entry, and owner must have licensing papers available upon staff request for service dogs.
