About this Event
Gravestones are community memory made tangible -- and they need tending. Join Caitie Hilverman for a hands-on introduction to gravestone cleaning and care at Cedar Park Cemetery in Hudson (through the entrance, just beyond the office), with time to get your hands on the stones alongside conversation about what it means to show up for the dead as an act of care for the living.
Join us on Memorial Day to learn, tend and commune with the dead and the living. Free and open to all.
Caitie Hilverman is a writer, coach, and gravestone tender based in Hudson, NY. A fifth-generation Hudson resident, she tends stones at Cedar Park Cemetery and writes about grief, memory, and community through her Substack, All My Dead & Living Things.
