About this Event
You have a great idea but not enough money to make it happen? You are a first time home-buyer and this is the priciest real estate market in the country? You want to go back to school, start a business, learn how to write, help a cause you love, or get your friends together to make an amazing piece of art?
There may be a grant for that!
This workshop is an introduction to how to make things happen in the world of fundraising. We will talk about how to find grants, who gives them, how to win one, how to get involved in developing them, and, even, how to make your own opportunities.
It is taught by Ellen McBarnette. She is a current and former board member of several nonprofits in the area. She raises funds for several and has won grants for herself, for organizations she has worked for, and for organizations she has volunteered for. She believes the strangest thing about grants is how many people who are eligible do not bother to apply apply for them. Come learn how to change that!
