About this Event
Join a Park Ranger for a guided hike through the trails of Grandview Park in Emerald View Park and experience one of Pittsburgh’s most scenic woodland corridors. This roughly one-mile walk gains roughly 213 feet in elevation and is open to all participants, making it a great option for curious beginners and seasoned trail-goers alike. Along the way, you’ll travel narrow, rustic trails with a peaceful forest feel, accented by touches of urban character and striking skyline views that make this park uniquely Pittsburgh.
During the hike, we’ll explore the history of Grandview Park and take a closer look at how invasive plant species are managed to protect native ecosystems. Please wear closed toe shoes suitable for uneven terrain and bring water to stay hydrated. We’ll meet at the Grandview Park Bandstand, located at 459 Bailey Avenue, where a portable toilet is available nearby.
