SARRC’s February Grandparents Support Group will be held Friday, February 20 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at SARRC’s Phoenix Campus (300 N 18th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85006).ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Join Daniel Openden, PhD, BCBA-D, president and CEO of SARRC, as he presents the State of the SARRC, reflecting on recent achievements and outlining plans for the year ahead.
Dr. Openden has led the expansion of innovative clinical programs, including nationally recognized inclusive preschool and telemedicine initiatives that broaden access to services. A licensed Board-Certified Behavior Analyst—Doctoral, he is widely published, serves in national leadership and advisory roles, and is an adjunct professor at Arizona State University. Dr. Openden holds bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with an emphasis on special education and autism-related research.

Grandparents Support Group meetings empower, enrich and support all members. In addition to offering a network of support, grandparents attending the group’s monthly meetings participate in facilitated discussions, learn the latest information about autism from guest speakers, receive advice and training, and socialize with each other.
