About this Event

The Student Empowerment Summit is a one-day conference dedicated to helping students learn about valuable resources, build their network, and find motivation to succeed. You’ll hear inspiring stories from past students who have overcome barriers on their educational journey, gaining insight into the challenges and victories that shape success. Throughout the day, Maricopa staff and professionals will lead a variety of interactive workshops focused on student success, personal growth, and preparing for the future.
This year’s theme, “Breaking Barriers, Building Futures,” celebrates the resilience and leadership of today’s college students. Whether you’re a first-generation scholar, returning adult learner, student leader, or someone still discovering your path, this summit creates space for you to grow, connect, and be inspired.

Through interactive breakout sessions, powerful storytelling, and meaningful networking opportunities, you’ll explore what it means to lead with confidence, embrace your identity, and take bold steps toward your goals.
