🎺 Grand Parade, Fete & Rock on the Loch 🎶One of the biggest and best days of Fair Week!
The parade will be led by Melrose & District Pipes & Drums, setting off from the Community Centre. They’ll be joined by the Tweedbank Lad and Lass and their attendants in a horse-drawn carriage, followed by local community groups.
Children wishing to donate flowers to Galashiels Nursing Home or food items to Gala Food Bank should meet at the Community Centre for 12.30pm. All children who donate will receive a small treat as a thank you.
🎡 Grand Fete & Rock on the Loch
Once the parade reaches the School grounds, the celebrations continue with a real festival atmosphere!
Activities for children and adults include:
Live music
BBQ & food vendors
Licensed bar
FREE bouncy castles, Large outdoor games & Face painting for local children (Wristbands are free for children from Tweedbank Primary School, Tweedbank Early Learners and Tweedbank Community Groups. Bands for children outwith these groups can be purchased for £3.)
⚽ Penalty Shoot Out
Run by Tweedbank Thistle for all age groups.
The Chris Doyle Trophy will be presented to the winner within the Tweedbank P7 class.
🏃 Fun Run Round the Loch
Registration at the football pitch by the school – £1 entry
Registration: 2.45pm
Start time: 3.00pm
Kindly organised by Gala Harriers.
All runners receive a medal on completion, with trophies awarded to category winners.
🎟 Tweedbank Fair Raffle
Tickets available at events throughout the week or from any committee member.
🎉 The After Party – 5.00pm – 7.00pm
Finish Fair Week in style with our After Party Disco in the school field - a final chance to celebrate together before we close another brilliant Tweedbank Fair.
Bring along your blankets and chairs and settle in for the day - it’s very much a relaxed, festival vibe.
The Fair Committee kindly asks that you support the Licensed Bar, as takings from this help fund next year’s Fair and allow us to keep as many children’s activities free as possible.
