About this Event
Kids. New role at work. Family drama. Work drama. Aging parents. Sometimes it’s an uphill climb, sometimes you can coast downhill for a bit. Other times, you’ve got to come to a full stop before hitting the gas again.
But in each of these scenarios, you adjust. Change gears. Shift to accommodate. So how do you do that smoothly, sans stall-out or cringy grinding sound?
At our upcoming Charlotte event, our all-star parent/leader panel will speak to shifts they’ve made throughout their careers – some graceful. Others – well, less so. You’ll appreciate their candor, and benefit from their wisdom as they share their personal journeys.

A proven industry force and frequent speaker, Lynne captured the attention of the advertising industry when she purchased Fame from its global holding company in 2015 – and then again when she joined forces with broadhead in 2022. In 2016, she founded Lead Like a Mother, a business management philosophy and advice forum that draws parallels from the triumphs of nurturing children to the competencies required to run a business. Lynne is an AdFed Silver recipient, Effie winner, member of The Hub Braintrust, honorary AdFed Board member, Retail Expert on the Small Business Revolution documentary and former VP of the Twin Cities Retail Design Insititute.
She also happens to be the mother of 3 grown children and one grand child, geographically spread across the country, making family reunions a little more challenging.
What is Lead Like a Mother?
The parallels between parenting and (strangely similar) professional situations are astounding. And the learnings make us better at both. Lead Like a Mother is definitely not FMO (For Moms Only). These are equal opportunity learnings that apply across humanity as a whole, and are not exclusive to those with offspring.
