A poetry workshop that embodies the smooth vibes of reggage while holding space for the joy and role of the artists in social change and social movements. We will examine the intersection of reggage music & poetry through the works of June Jordan, Staceyann Chin & Chronixx.

Faciliator Bio:
Rabih Ahmed is a Ghanaian-American Muslim poet and educator with eight years of facilitation experience. Her poetry is rooted in the oral traditions and histories of the African diaspora. She has been featured at the Apollo Theater, Lincoln Center, the Nuyorican Poets Café, and across the African diaspora.
She is the founder of LOVE LIGHT & POETRY (LLP), a creative home for writers at the margins of the traditional literary world. Through LLP, Rabih uses poetry as a liberatory tool for healing, community building, and collective dreaming.
