Venturing into his DJ'ing journey in 2019, DJ Devonn taught himself the skills needed to excel at the craft and excelled he has.
He prides himself in specializing in classic funk, disco and R&B, or "Black ass music,"which he refers to affectionately, but he is also more than comfortable mixing genres from across the world. Thriving off the energy of life, the ethos behind his craft is to ensure everyone has a positive. fun and safe time. Whether it comes in the form of singing or dancing, music has the power to release our inner inhibitions, and DJ Devonn utilizes that power to build community.
In a relatively short amount of time, Dj Devonn has seen tremendous growth, from doing his very first set in front of an audience at a basement show to being booked out of state to perform in New York, Wisconsin and Missouri, and even going as far as self producing mini-documentaries for these out of state excursions. Led by a love of people, he ultimately hopes to use his platform to not only deliver good vibes to any function, but to form strong human connections that stand the test of time.
