About this Event
Golden Bough returns to Wyoming to share its 45th Anniversary season with ARTCORE!
Founded by Margie Butler and Paul Espinoza, and joined in 2001 by violinist Kathy Sierra, the acclaimed Celtic trio has much to celebrate: four and a half decades of international touring, as well as the recording of more than 30 albums in various formats – ranging from LPs to live streams to a “Best of …” 25-hour music/video USB thumb-drive disguised as a 1980s cassette!
Golden Bough has enjoyed performing for ARTCORE for many years; this anniversary concert is a special one of Celtic and original audience favorites throughout the decades.
In concert, the musicians feature an enticing mix of instrumental folk music, song, and stories, from the songs of the Celtic regions of Europe, to the melodies brought by Irish and Scottish immigrants to North America, to original numbers. Masters of both Celtic and American folk music, the Golden Bough artists sing lively tunes and lilting ballads in pristine three-part harmony, while accompanying themselves on an array of acoustic instruments, including Celtic harp, guitar, octave-mandolin, accordion, violin, penny whistle, and bodhran.
With an appreciation for music, song, culture, and connection, Golden Bough captures the essence and joy of traditional folk music.
Co-sponsored by Bon Agency INSURANCE, Rocky Mountain Power Foundation, Townsquare Casper and the Wyoming Community Foundation - Casper.
