To support Council Gold to undertake their role in line with the London Local Authority standardised arrangements

· Describe the role and its associated responsibilities

· Have confidence in implementing the responsibilities of Council Gold

· Understand how Council Gold fits into broader local authority and multi-agency command structures

· Be able to create a working strategy that is appropriate to the incident

· Appreciate how situational awareness and good information management can contribute to an effective response

· Understand the link between situational awareness and effective decision making

· Understand the importance of logging decisions in an incident
