Overview

Group training to keep you motivated this spring!

  • Weekly Saturday group workouts rotating each weekend between different quadrants of the city.
  • Pace group mentors for runners, walk/joggers, and walkers! Find your pace with us!
  • Weekly email with workouts and guidance.
  • Guest speakers.
  • Member swag including medals, pins, gloves, and a free pair of socks.
  • Variety of goal events for 5K, 10K, and our goal Half marathon on July 4th (or the late spring/summer half marathon of your choice).
  • Exclusive discounts to races and Foot Traffic stores.

VIRTUAL OPTIONS TOO!

  • Receive weekly emails and a training plan for the season.
  • Separate virtual pace leader to check in with virtual members.
  • Exclusive race and store discounts.

  • No group meetings. Train on your own with expert guidance and motivation!


When and Where:

  • Weekly Saturday group workouts at 8am!
  • Session 1: Feb. – July.
  • Locations rotate between Foot Traffic locations each weekend!

What to Expect

  • Pace Mentors – Men and women of all ages are represented and supported by “pace mentors” and coaches for all paces. The program focuses on developing lifelong running and walking habits while helping you meet performance or lifestyle goals.
  • Expert head coach – Our coaches bring experience and expertise to answer your questions!
  • Partnering for Success – Our training program partners with local businesses, fitness professionals, dieticians, and physical therapists. With a wellness focus, this program goes beyond training for a particular event and helps you start or maintain a healthy lifestyle.
  • Weekly Meetings and Emails – Tips and discussions from dieticians, trainers, physical therapists, and representatives in the running & walking apparel and footwear industries.
  • Unparalleled Camaraderie – Find training partners and people that care about getting out and moving with you!
  • Pre-set, guided courses through RunGo and our pace mentors!
  • SWAG! Each season features new member swag.
  • Hundreds of dollars in discounts off Foot Traffic races, Why Racing events, and top shoes and gear in Foot Traffic!
  • MEDALS/PINS! Program completion medals! New members (those who haven’t earned a medal yet) will receive a program medal upon completion! All members, returning and new, will also earn extra lanyard pins for every session you complete!

ABOUT Go Portland: Originally called Foot Traffic University, our program begain in 2005 and is one of the longest operating & most-trusted training programs in the area, focusing on the 5k or 10K or Half Marathon. GREAT for those new to the sport as well as those with experience!

Whether you are just starting out, just getting back into it, or looking to refine and improve your running or walking, Go! Portland is for YOU! The program emphasizes developing lifelong running and walking habits, while also helping you meet performance goals.

Our program serves all levels and abilities starting at age 18 and up to seniors and will have motivating mentors of all ages and running and walking backgrounds. Membership includes new member swag eaach year, professional coaching both for runners and walkers, program completion medals and session pins, organized weekly meetings and pre-set courses, as well as weekly schedules delivered via email for each pace group’s specific workout to do on your own.
