About this Event
Go Construct and the Home Builders Federation (HBF) are hosting an online session on the 7th November 2024 10:00 to 11:00, giving an overview of the Go Construct STEM Ambassador Programme, it's benefits and how to get involved and signed up on the day, followed by a Q&A session.
Back in 2021 the CITB and the STEM Ambassador programmes came together to offer the Construction & the Built Environment sector and supply chain businesses one united support programme for it's ambassadors and employers.
As part of this partnership, we work with the HBF to offer an ambassador scheme for those working within the home building industry. Attracting more, high quality people into the home building industry is one of the biggest challenges faced by the home builders which is why we want to encourage more volunteers to take up this important role.
Working with STEM showcases the essential work our Go Construct STEM Ambassador programme is doing to help thousands of volunteers across the UK to access events, feedback and resources; ensuring they are fully equipped to inspire the next generation of young people considering a career in Construction & the Built Environment.
This session is open to all Home Building organisations and their employees, it will provide the tools & resources to become a successful Ambassador. Being an Ambassador not only helps encourage the next generation into our sector but helps with our own professional development.
The session will cover:
• Intro to the Go Construct STEM Ambassador and Home Building programme
• What is going on 'virtually' regarding STEM Engagement - how STEM Ambassador Hubs can help
• Instructions and walk-through on how to register and use the STEM Ambassador website
• How Construction, Built Environment & Home Building Ambassadors can link with STEM
• A brief spotlight on construction-focused STEM opportunities
Many thanks and we look forward to meeting you soon
