About this Event
Want to build your own website from scratch? Learn the basics of HTML and CSS while creating a personal website you can show off. Add your favorite things, customize the design, and see how real websites are built behind the scenes. By the end, you’ll have your own site and the skills to keep improving it!
In partnership with the Ontario Network for Women in Engineering (ONWIE), and SFU's Women in Computer Science, we invite girls and non-binary youth* in grades 7 – 10 to learn more about the wonderful world of coding! No prior experience with coding required.
*As part of our efforts to create inclusive, bias-free learning environments that advance gender equity, our Girls and Young Women Programs welcome gender-diverse youth, including but not limited to cis girls, trans girls, non-binary youth, gender non-conforming youth.
Pizza will be served at this event, as we recognize that we are gathering around lunch time.
