Glorious Taiwan 絢麗台灣 （Taiwan Night 台灣之夜）

The Formosa Melody Music Center (FMMC) on this North American tour, music and movement paint vivid portraits of Taiwan’s diversity. Blending Taiwanese folk melodies with global rhythms, the performance invites audiences not only to hear Taiwan, but to feel its spirit, heartbeat, and cultural essence.

This cross-sensory performance blends music, dance, and environmental theater to highlight Taiwan’s cultural spirit across four chapters. “Festive Taiwan” brings festivals and rituals to life, showing how shared traditions forge emotional bonds and collective memory. “Culinary Taiwan” evokes the tastes and sounds of night markets and family tables, expressing the warmth of home and the wisdom of everyday life. “Taiwan in the World” reimagines traditional instruments through contemporary expression, blending Taiwanese music with American and international styles to symbolize cultural dialogue and creative exchange. “Cultural Taiwan” translates folk rituals, opera, and belief systems into theatrical language, presenting culture as a living, ever-flowing force.
