"What are the Orphic Hymns?" - The Orphic Hymns are the only complete set of cultic hymns to the gods that have survived from the ancient Greek world. There has been an increase in interest in them in recent years among modern pagan practitioners, but they are still not always well understood. This talk looks at where the Hymns come from, who originally used them, and what they have to say about the nature of the divine.
Robin Douglas is a writer and historian specialising in pagan and esoteric traditions. The paperback edition of his "Paganism Persisting" (co-written with Francis Young) was published by Exeter University Press in April 2024.
