Glasgow Uni Dental Society Open Evening

This evening is designed to give students an insight into life within a multidisciplinary referral centre, exploring career pathways, clinical workflows, and real-world case management.

There will be sandwich platters, light snacks, and prosecco, providing an opportunity to network in a relaxed setting.

The evening will begin with a career-focused talk from Mr Arshad Ali, sharing his professional journey, insights into specialist practice, and advice for students as they progress through training and early career decisions.

Following the talk, attendees will take part in a guided tour of the SCED clinic, with different surgeries set up to showcase a range of treatments and digital workflows. Our clinicians will be available throughout the evening to:

• Talk through real case studies
• Discuss multidisciplinary collaboration
• Answer questions about career development, referrals, and specialist training

This open evening offers students a valuable opportunity to engage directly with experienced clinicians, see a specialist-led practice in action, and gain practical insight into future career options within dentistry.
