Welcome to Git Gud Comedy Open Mic — your chance to test your punchlines, polish your sets, or just soak in some of the best up-and-coming comedy in Cincinnati! Happening every 2nd and 4th Thursday at 7 PM in The Basement at The Comet, this open mic is a no-pressure, all-fun space where comics of all experience levels are welcome.
Whether you’re stepping on stage for the first time or working out your next tight five, sign-ups open at 6 PM, and the mic starts rolling at 7. Hosted by a rotating crew of local comedians — Gavin Ferckel, Wayne Memmott, Connor Twele, and Cody Walker — Git Gud is a mic that’s built for community, consistency, and cracking up the crowd.
Tucked in the vibrant heart of Northside, The Comet is a neighborhood staple known for its killer burritos, cold beers, and underground vibes — the perfect backdrop for raw, real stand-up comedy. The show is presented by Bombs Away! Comedy, one of Cincinnati’s most active and respected independent comedy producers.
