Girls in Aviation Day 2026

Welcome to the Girls in Aviation Day!

Come join us at the Southern Museum of Flight for a day filled with exciting activities, inspiring speakers, and hands-on experiences. This event is all about empowering girls to explore opportunities in aviation and aerospace. From flight simulators to aircraft displays, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Don't miss out on this incredible chance to learn, connect, and have fun! Event participation is limited to 80 attendees ages 10-18 (not including parents or guardians). All participants will take part in four exciting sessions and lunch will be provided. Registration ends August 14. There will be onsite registration for any remaining spots. Registration begins at 9:30 am and the program begins promptly at 10:00am and will run until approximately 2:15pm. Lunch for attendees and chaperones will be provided.

We will not allow any registered or unregistered participants in to the event passed 10:15AM. This is not a "drop in" event. There is a scheduled program for the Girls in Aviation Day event.

Info: Check-in for pre-registered and day-of registration for event begins at 9:30AM. Feel free to explore the Southern Museum of Flight until the welcome ceremony begins.

Info: Breakout session begin promptly at 10:15 AM. Attendees will be grouped together by age and move through two 45 minute sessions

Info: Breakout sessions will resume at 12:30 PM with same age group as the morning sessions and will move through an additional two 45 minute sessions.

Info: Please plan to pick up attendees by 2:15 PM. There are opportunities at the end of the GIAD Event to explore the Southern Museum of Flight at your own pace.
