The SouthSide Cycling Club is leading community volunteers from Panasonic Automotive to install a handrail over the Gin Branch ford crossing on Thursday, May 28th from 8am at the Gin Branch Trails in Peachtree City.Volunteers will also install barriers to protect the Landrum Mill historic site.
Volunteers are requested to park at the World Drive roundabout and hike to the work site, or drive motorized carts to the work site on the shared use path connected to Kedron Hills neighborhood.
Past service days have improved over a mile of social trails during scheduled trail service days to support sustainable and accessible use by hikers, runners, mountain bikers. Tasks have include trail maintenance and overgrowth clearing, erosion control, trash pick-up, surface grading, and trail signs.
All volunteers should bring work gloves, eye protection and a water bottle.
