About this Event

We invite you to share space with us on Saturday, January 17 at 7 PM at The Land School as Gilles Peterson presents Liner Notes (Chicago Edit), organized by our creative partner-in-residence, International Anthem.

Broadcaster, DJ, label owner, festival curator, and record collector Gilles Peterson has played a pivotal role in championing and promoting underground music globally over the past four decades. On the 17th, he’ll bring his ‘Liner Notes’ format to Chicago’s South Side, entering into deep conversation with the records.

Joined by his long-standing collaborator Rob Galliano, Peterson will connect sonic dots, playing and sharing some of his favorite selects from music’s past, present, and future. Situated as part annotated DJ set and part oral history, ‘Liner Notes’ will unfold in real time with Peterson’s stories and sounds converging in an impromptu configuration.

We hope you can join us!
