This is a 6-week employability course for asylum seekers, refugees and migrants in Edinburgh. This course is at Hay Avenue Community Hub.About this Event
In this course, you will learn how to search for jobs, write job applications and cover letters, improve interview skills, and learn about work culture in Scotland and UK employment rights.
Subsidies including childcare and transport can be provided.
This six-week course takes place weekly for 2 hours, IN-PERSON
The capacity of the course is 20 people per session.
The venue is Hay Avenue Community Hub - 3 Hay Avenue, Craigmillar, EDINBURGH, EH16 4QR
Weekly programme- Week 1: Finding work in Scotland (Tuesday 22nd October)
- Week 2: Writing CVs (Tuesday 29th October)
- Week 3: Interviews (Tuesday 5th November)
- Week 4: Scottish work culture (Tuesday 12th November)
- Week 5: Rights & Responsibilities in the Workplace (Tuesday 19th November)
- Week 6: Practice interviews / Q&A session (Tuesday 26th November)
