About this Event
Do you want to build your confidence as a university teacher but have little if any experience in teaching? This session is for you! This interactive workshop will help you understand the key principles of effective teaching, how to pitch content at the right level and what to expect from students at different stages through their time at UCL.
You will:
- Discuss in groups what different teaching techniques you might use
- Learn from a secondary school teacher about the expectations and skills of people coming into UCL freshly out of school
- Hear from two excellent UCL lecturers from Brain and Life Sciences about what works and what doesn’t in a real classroom
Bring your questions and real-life scenarios — this practical, supportive session is designed to build your confidence before your next lecture!
Please note: this event is only open to current UCL staff/students and alumni. Please register with your UCL email address.
