It's time to lace up... The tradition continues starting March 11, 2023Georgia Aquarium’s 5K walk/run returns for its sixth year. Starting and finishing at one of the most recognizable landmarks in downtown Atlanta, this Peachtree Qualifier 3.1-mile course is a quick “out and back” run/jog/walk for all ages.
Can’t make it downtown? There’s a virtual option just for you! No matter where you live, we want you to run for the ocean. All proceeds for the 5K go toward the Aquarium’s research and conservation initiatives here at home and across the globe. This furthers the understanding of the ocean’s animals to aid in their survival for generations to come.

IN-PERSON RACE DETAILS:
Our in-person race takes place at Georgia Aquarium in downtown Atlanta, and starts on Saturday, March 11 at 8:00am. You’ll be treated to an out-and-back 3.1-mile Peachtree Qualifier course through the streets of downtown and neighboring Georgia Tech.
VIRTUAL RACE DETAILS:
Participants choosing a virtual race can participate anywhere they’d like and at their own pace! Whether those 3.1 miles are in your neighborhood, in a park, on a shoreline, or even a treadmill, simply submit your results on our site and enjoy bragging rights of helping our oceans.Date: Saturday, March 11, 2023 – April 16, 2023

Members: $30 (first 200 to register)
Early Bird: $35
Standard Registration: $40
Late Registration: $45
All runners 21 and over, having submitted their times (either automatically by participating in person or submitting virtual race times online) by 11:59pm on April 16, 2023, are entered in a drawing for a chance to win prizes including:
- Georgia Aquarium swag basket
- Two (2) tickets to Georgia Aquarium’s Sips Under the Sea (must be 21+ to attend event)
