Join Jack and Taylor for Gentle Journeys!
Where: Nalu Kava Lounge
Nalu is a serendipitous lounge in NE Portland offering a cozy + intimate vibe with its treetop speakeasy style environment. Serving cacao, kava, tea, and magical energy, this sacred space feels like a home away from home.
When: 12:00pm - 2:00pm
Doors open at 11:45am. Complimentary tea will be offered before the session.
After an introduction to the practice, Jack will lead a seated 20 minute mindfulness medtitaion. Following our sit, there will be time to reflect and share about the experience.
We will then transition into a 1 hour sound bath with Taylor where she will ease you into ethereal realms of sound and vibration. There will also be optional time afterwards to reflect and share with the community about the experience.

Mindfullness Meditation
One of our most powerful tools is our breath. It can anchor us in times of distress, and yet, our westernized world never fully taught us to utilize this incredible tool. Instead of a typical guided meditation, mindfulness meditation is not guided. Rather, it is an opportunity to practice self-empowerment and resiliance by sitting with your breath. To consciously and actively focus on your breathing. As the currents of your thoughts drift in and out, notice them without judgement or bias, and continuously bring your awareness back to your breath. In doing so you are teaching yourself to observe your thoughts and feel into your body.
Sound Bath
Our bodies fall out of alignment when we experience trauma or stress. Sound bathing is one of the easiest and most gentle ways to restore balance to our systems. Special instruments, like crystal singing bowls and the ocean drum, create soundscapes that promote a deep sense of calm + ease within the body. These soothing vibrations and frequencies allow your system to regulate + heal itself the way the body is intended to. A relaxing treat after a more active meditation practice. :)
