TouchDesigner is a visual programming tool for creating real-time, interactive visuals. It is widely used by artists and designers to produce dynamic audiovisual performances, interactive artworks, and complex installations.
These workshops are designed for beginners and offer a friendly introduction to generative art and interactive visuals systems. Through hands-on exercises, participants will learn how the TouchDesigner interface works and how to build visual systems step by step. No prior experience with TouchDesigner or programming is required.
The workshops take place over two sessions. The first session focuses on the principles of generative art, interactivity, and real-time control. Participants will explore how generative systems can be applied across art, performance, and installation contexts. In the second session, participants will design and build their own project, with an emphasis on experimentation, play, and developing an intuitive understanding of the software.
By the end of the session, participants will
- Feel comfortable navigating the Touchdesigner interface
- Create generative visual outputs
- Gain confidence using TouchDesigner for a range of creative and experimental use cases
