About this Event
According to the 2018 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, 9.9 million Americans misused controlled prescription drugs. The study shows that a majority of abused prescription drugs were obtained from family and friends, often from the home medicine cabinet.
Generation Rx aims to educate people of all ages about the potential dangers of misusing prescription medications by striving to enhance Medic*tion safety among our youth, college students, professionals, other adults in our communities, and seniors. Prescription medications can help us live longer and healthier lives, but any Medic*tion has the potential to do harm – especially when misused. This training will teach you how to properly and securely store medications, how to safely dispose of Medic*tion no longer needed, and much more.
Generation Rx is powered through a partnership between The Ohio State University College of Ph*rm*cy and the Cardinal Health Foundation and presented by Gail Dafler, Goodwill Easter Seals of the Miami Valley.

In order to ethically provide CEUs, we use a platform that generates attendance time reports. We must have a total time in attendance for each participant in order to issue CEUs and the CEUs issued are based on the total amount of time accumulated between the time an attendee joins and the time the attendee logs off. We are ethically bound to report the accumulated amount of time a participant attended, therefore we cannot issue CEUs to:
- Individuals sharing a monitor, computer, and/or login
- Individuals joining by audio phone only
- Individuals missing more than 10 minutes of a training that is 60 minutes in length
CEUs will be adjusted to the nearest quarter hour to reflect the amount of time present for sessions over 60 minutes in length.
By registering and attending this session, you acknowledge and agree that your photo may be taken and used by Montgomery County ADAMHS. If you do not agree to have your photo used, you must contact the organizer prior to the class.
