Sara Thielen instructs kids about how to explore their family stories. Recommended for kids ages 8-12, Sara will present the basics of genealogy: completing a family tree, understanding what primary and secondary sources are, skills for interviewing family members, how to capture the information to keep it safe for the future, and how to interpret the stories. Kids are encouraged to bring a family member or older friend with them to work on some of these skills. $5 per child with one free adult; limited to 24 participants.
