About this Event
From the Revolutionary War to the Korean War, the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps forged an unbreakable partnership that shaped America's rise as a global power. This lecture explores how these "brothers in arms" evolved from a fledgling Continental Navy and handful of Marines into the world's dominant sea services, in becoming the cornerstone of American naval strategy. We will also examine how genealogical research and historical scholarship have uncovered the personal stories of individual service members, revealing the human dimension behind more than two centuries of naval transformation and triumph.
- This event is being offered in a hybrid format. Both onsite and virtual tickets are available. All ticket reservations will include a Zoom link.
