About this Event
Gender Identity & Neurodivergence - a discussion of lived experiences
Join us for an hour's workshop where we will hear from Layla and Dana about their experiences of gender identity and neurodivergence. It will be a relaxed and informal session with plenty of opportunity to ask questions!
Hi! My name is Dana, I'm an Autistic/ADHD trans woman who works as an AI Infrastructure Engineer in Bristol. I've lived in the city for over 5 years, and spent a lot of my time with friends or reading. I'm passionate about building wider knowledge surrounding neurodivergence, supporting neurodivergent and trans/queer communities and advocating for the reform of neurodivergent and transgender care within the NHS.
Hey! I'm Layla - I'm a nonbinary, Bristolian, disabled, neurodivergent queer artist and space holder. I work as a Lived Experience Facilitator/Trainer and Creative Arts Therapy Facilitator. I'm determined to tackle misinformation, spread awareness of the various equalities communities I'm a part of, and to encourage honest, approachable and judgment free discussions around what can sometimes feel like difficult or awkward conversations.
This is an online event via zoom. Spaces are limited so booking is required.
